Artist Biography
Linda Lee Celestina is a Chinese-Korean abstract expressionist artist and economist, born in culturally vibrant Shanghai and currently based in New York. Known for her dynamic use of bold colors, rich textures, and mixed media, she creates evocative works that explore the depths of human emotion and experience. Her recent venture into sculptural canvas pieces adds a literal and figurative new dimension to her art, enhancing the tactile and visual impact of her series.
Linda's artistic journey began at the age of seven with an apprenticeship in graphite pencil realism, laying a strong foundation for her evolving creative expression. Over the years, she has developed a distinctive style that reflects her lifelong learning and interdisciplinary approach, seamlessly integrating her diverse knowledge and skills. Her abstract expressionist works delve into the profound interplay of emotions, movement, and life's intricate narratives. They reflect an enduring fascination with the emotional psyche and capture both the adventurous and introspective facets of human experience. Linda holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and French Studies from Emory University and a Master's in Finance from Fordham University. After a successful corporate career in finance, she embraced her passion for art, officially launching her artistic career in 2023. Since then, she has participated in group exhibitions with Awita New York Studio in Brooklyn, The Fearless Artist Art Fair during Miami Art Week, and The Arts at the Ritz-Carlton by Cache Life and José Andrés Group. Additionally, she led a panel discussion on Art, Tech, and Finance with Utopia Collective, highlighting her commitment to interdisciplinary dialogue within the art community.
